Former Director of Sales for Smiths Detection Joins ICx Technologies as VP of Sales for the Detection Division
ICx Technologies, a provider of advanced technology solutions for homeland and military security, announced today that Patrick Dempsey has joined the company as Vice President of Sales, Detection Division.
In this role, Dempsey will leverage his depth of government and homeland security experience to further expand the reach and volume of product and service sales division-wide. He will also work in cooperation with other ICx divisions to promote the company's line of integrated solutions.
"The ICx detection products have proven themselves in the field time and time again, protecting our military forces, borders, ports, emergency responders and more from an array of unseen threats," said Hans Kobler, President and CEO of ICx Technologies. "We trust in our detection division to continue delivering immense value to all of our customers, and we trust that Patrick's insight and leadership will help ICx to remain a leader in advanced detection technologies."
Dempsey holds more than 25 years of experience in the detection business, 15 of those spent working specifically within the homeland defense sector. Prior to joining ICx, Dempsey served as director of sales for the federal government group of Smiths Detection. Before that, he held key leadership positions in the government sales groups of Inficon and SensIR Technologies. He holds a BA (Chemistry) degree from the University of New Hampshire.
The ICx Technologies Detection Division offers compact, portable and affordable products for detecting threats in all of the critical CBRNE segments – chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and explosive. Their sensitivity, accuracy and false alarm rates compare favorably to other units designed for use in the field.
