Former General Manager of Johnson Controls Federal Business Joins ICx to Accelerate Development of Integrated Solutions

ICx Technologies, a provider of advanced technology solutions for homeland and military security, announced today that Doug Knight has joined the company as President of Solutions. In this role, Knight will lead the company’s software and solutions group, delivering integrated solutions that tie together ICx detection and surveillance products into cohesive security systems.

"Offering our unique detection and surveillance sensors as comprehensive, integrated plug-and-play solutions reflects a clear message from our customers," said Hans Kobler, president and CEO of ICx Technologies. "Doug's tremendous experience and market understanding will help us serve our customers even better and accelerate our roll-out."

Knight holds nearly two decades of senior management experience in security, CBRNE, and energy management systems integration. He joins ICx following six years with Johnson Controls where he most recently served as vice president and general manager of the security systems integration business for national and global corporate clients and the U.S. Federal Government. In addition to one other senior leadership role at Johnson Controls, Knight spent nine years at a security industry start-up company, developing and executing a strategic plan that prepared the company for its IPO and facilitated its seven successful acquisitions during his tenure.

"I've been working with federal and commercial customers for years, integrating product lines offered by ICx and others. I'm joining the ICx team with a deep understanding of the needs of its customers and I am excited to work toward fulfilling them," said Knight.

Knight holds BA (Government) and MPM (Public Sector Financial Management) degrees from the University of Maryland and a JD from the American University, Washington College of Law. Knight has also completed XLP Global Executive Training with Johnson Controls and is a member of the Maryland Bar.
