ICx Technologies Forges a New Path in the Security Market
Company Announces Cerberus, an Integrated Border and Perimeter Security Solution
ICx Technologies, a developer of advanced technology solutions for homeland and military security, announced the networking of several of its leading edge products into a single, comprehensive technology-driven security solution. Through the release of Cerberus, ICx has expanded an impressive portfolio of technologies and products. ICx Technologies offers such integrated security solutions to its key partners - the leading security primes as well as selected end users in industry and government.
"Our approach is what sets us apart," said Hans Kobler, Chief Executive Officer of ICx Technologies, "improving homeland and military security demands vision; combining best-in-class sensor technologies and state-of-the-art intelligence tools to form comprehensive security solutions that are easy to implement, access and control. We provide our customers and partners with a suite of surveillance and detection solutions as well as the networking, software and command & control capabilities to improve operational efficiencies and effectiveness."
After an aggressive and focused expansion program, which includes such technologies as the Griffin mass spectroscopy instruments that can detect TATP as well as its liquid components and a line of unmanned and manned security towers that are helping protect the U.S.-Mexican border, ICx Technologies has shifted its efforts to turning these technologies into next generation sensor networks that can provide more security smaller, cheaper, faster with fewer alarms in the front lines of our defense.
"With our broad cross-disciplinary technology base, we are the ideal partner for the large system integrators who want to deploy next generation solutions effectively and count on premier service and responsiveness in putting the various elements together", says Kobler.
This new approach will be revealed at the 52nd Annual ASIS International Seminar & Exhibits in San Diego, from September 25-27. ICx will showcase comprehensive surveillance solutions appropriate to numerous security scenarios. Among the products on display, Cerberus will demonstrate integrated radar and infrared technology to detect vehicles and people approaching and identify specific targets. The mobile Cerberus tower is self-powered to provide quick and easy deployment, allowing users the ability to quickly and constantly move the platform, which provides a cost efficient alternative to cover long borders. ICx also provides a manned version of its security tower, with optional weapon protection that is currently deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan as well as many security and law enforcement offices.
ICx Technologies operates through entrepreneurial business units within its divisions and has an established track record of partnering and collaboration. "Fostering a spirit of innovation and collaboration within these divisions is an easy job," said Kobler, "Such progress comes naturally to like-minded people working towards a common goal; the safety of our citizens and assets."
ICx Technologies offers sensor technologies and solutions that have been tested and validated by large military, government and commercial customers worldwide. The privately held firm has revenues of more than $100 m and operates from more than 20 locations worldwide, including facilities in North America and Europe. The company's leadership team is comprised of senior management and experts from private security, law enforcement, military and intelligence, as well as an advisory board that includes former Cabinet members, former Congressman and a distinguished group of military officers, business persons, technologists and academics
