ICx Appoints Howard Borst Vice President, Program Office

ICx Technologies, a developer of advanced security technology, announced today that Retired Air Force Colonel Howard Borst has joined the company in the newly created role of Vice President, Program Office.

As Vice President, Program Office, Colonel Howard Borst (ret.) will be responsible for establishing and managing the new ICx Program Office. In this role Borst will be responsible for identifying new initiatives and executing DOD and DHS programs.

Prior to joining ICx, Borst retired from a distinguished 27-year military career in the United States Air Force. In his most recent post, Borst served as the System Program Director of the Human Resource Command and Control Systems Program Office, Electronic Systems Center at Randolph Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. There he was responsible for managing over 300 personnel and managed a budget in excess of $200 Million. Prior to serving at the Human Resources Command and Control Center, Borst was System Program Director at the Force Protection Command and Control System Office in Boston, Massachusetts. In this role, he led a 100 person program office that acquired, developed, installed and maintained a $1.5 Billion security infrastructure protecting high value assets worldwide. While there, his team was responsible for delivery of "Desert Hawk," an unmanned air vehicle that is protecting airmen worldwide from terrorists and roadside bombs.

Additionally, Borst has held various acquisition, recruiting, program management and leadership positions during his distinguished career in the United States Air Force. He was awarded the Legion of Merit and Defense Meritorious Service Medal.
