Assistant Secretary of the Army Visits with ICx Technologies at Winter Symposium
Secretary Bolton learned about the latest equipment available to aid our warfighters
Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisitions, Logistics and Technology, the Honorable Claude M. Bolton, Jr., visited with ICx Technologies representatives at the recent Association of the U.S. Army (AUSA) Winter Symposium and Exhibition.
The central focus of the symposium was the Army's progression towards transforming while conducting combat operations. Secretary Bolton toured the exhibit hall and received first hand knowledge of the latest developments in warfighter technologies.
Throughout the three day event, ICx met with key industry officials and held focused demonstrations of innovative homeland security and force protection solutions.
"ICx has undertaken the objective of providing advanced technologies for present day mission requirements where traditional tools have become inadequate," says ICx Senior Vice President for Strategic Planning, Dobie McArthur.
ICx demonstrated an array of handheld explosives, chemical and biological agent detectors as well as the latest in surveillance radar and thermal camera technologies. In addition, ICx debuted a new active denial product - the Centurion, an integrated remote weapons system mounted on a mobile tower for deployment in expeditionary operations.
ICx Technologies will be exhibiting advanced technologies for homeland security and force protection at the upcoming ISC West Expo April 6 - 7 in Las Vegas.
