Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton, Ohio
Twelve FLIR short-range ground surveillance radars (STS-350) provide surveillance across runways, ramps, taxiways, and tarmac areas for the 445th Airlift Wing - one of the 192 Air Force bases protected by these FLIR systems. A fiber optic network links the radars to a command center where FLIR tracking and alert software interfaces with the Base's general surveillance system.
U.S. Army Depot, Umatilla, Oregon
The software and hardware of the FLIR software platform networks and controls over 1,500 distributed security sensors at one of the Army's largest weapons depots. Deployed around the 19,000-acre facility, these sensors monitor the perimeter fence, dozens of portals and gates, and over 150 buildings, arms rooms, bunkers, and chemical igloos. The network includes closed-circuit TV cameras, card-entry and biometric systems, and other access control hardware. Control room systems feature automated alarms and automatic switching of camera feeds.
Blue Grass Army Depot, Kentucky
Seven FLIR Cerberus surveillance towers, linked by a wireless network to a central command center, help secure the four-mile perimeter of a large repository for munitions and chemical weapons. The towers are equipped with ground surveillance radar and visible and infrared cameras, with wireless links to unattended ground sensors. The command center monitoring software includes automated alarms and a geosynchronous overlay map that displays radar tracks, range to targets, and instant video pop-up images of targets.
NISH Demo Center
FLIR provided a mailroom full of equipment as part of a 2-year effort to support people with disabilities and the AbilityOne Network. In June, a national demo and testing center was opened in Northerm Virginia. Secure Mail/Digital Document Services is supported by a network of more than 100 AbilityOne non-profit contractors around the country that embrace consistent standards and best practices.
