The nature of free trade, international exchange, and open commerce produces a myriad of challenges to port and transoceanic security. Complex shipping systems, vastly different levels of scale, a flood of signals, and the need to keep traffic moving create a complicated security environment.
At FLIR we understand potential threats to port security and the need for control in a fluid operating environment. Contact us to arrange a demonstration of our latest approaches and integrated solutions to harbor security issues, shipping container integrity, explosives detection, and narcotics trace detection.
Vancouver Port Authority
A comprehensive, integrated security system to monitor, control, and ensure safe, secure, and efficient vehicular access to the Port's terminals and facilities. Each of the four control zones include security and surveillance equipment, traffic control systems, dynamic electronic signing, and immediate consequence devices. FLIR software, in the centralized command and control center, monitors and controls all devices and systems, including over 100 video cameras, through a single consolidated user interface.
Port of Pensacola, Florida
Eleven FLIR DefendIR and VisionIR systems provide marine-side port perimeter surveillance at one of the eleven ports protected by FLIR infrared cameras. Camera software includes motion detection capability. The FLIR cameras link to the same network that serves the Port's CCTV cameras and interface with the same monitoring and control systems in the command center.
