FLIR Systems is partnering with the United States Marine Corps for the 36th Marine Corps Marathon. Our high-resolution EO/IR imaging tehcnology will be deployed along and above the course of one of the largest marathons in the world. The down-linked video streams in real-time for viewers at home to watch the runners from a variety of locations around the course. More than 10,000 people logged in during last year's race to view the live video-feed of the race.

These sensors serve to enhance security efforts for the event organizers, as well as law enforcement agencies. The technology that will be used on the course is the same EO/IR technology the Marines depend on for missions in Iraq and Afghanistan to provide force protection capabilities for forward operating bases (FOBs).
